Selecting the right oil for your cue is crucial because it affects the wood’s look, durability, and maintenance.

Boiled Linseed Oil (BLO) is a favoured option for finishing wood thanks to its relatively quick drying time and easy application. Unlike raw linseed oil, BLO is heat-treated and contains additives that accelerate drying. It soaks deeply into the wood, highlighting the grain and giving a rich, warm appearance. However, multiple coats and regular upkeep are necessary to maintain protection and appearance.

Always wear protective gloves when handling cue oils.
